Re-Opening, part of Leeuwarden-Fryslân 2018, will end in November with the 39th edition of the Northern Film Festival. As always, you will be able to enjoy great films, interesting documentaries and local talent, although this year the festival’s spotlight will also be on language.
More than 150 different films will be shown at the Northern Film Festival, with the main focus on Northern Europe in a broad sense. This means spectators will be treated to a wealth of films in minor European languages, with work from Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Baltic States, Denmark, Ireland, and even one from the Faroe Islands being shown. Many films are subtitled in English, making them accessible to a wide international audience.
The programme also includes some fun activities developed in cooperation with Lân fan taal.
Don’t forget: On one evening during the Northern Film Festival, all the Lân fan taal projections on the Oldehove will be shown back-to-back.
