The DRONGO Language Festival is upon us. On Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th of September from 10.00 to 17.00 the Beatrix building of the Jaarbeurs Utrecht is entirely dedicated to languages. Of course, Lân fan taal is present! We offer a preview of the projects we are developing for next year, when we are Leeuwarden-Fryslân European Capital of Culture.
When do you have pleasure with language? And do you ever suffer from language sadness or language stress? Why do we have language? And do you ever neglect your language? These are questions we are engaged with and we’d like to discuss with you at the DRONGO language festival. You can also join our project DNALWD2018 on the spot – a search for personal language experience that ends up in a small test tube. Siart Smit (programme director) and Anne Graswinckel (education) will be giving a presentation entitled ‘Language is Experience, not Education: About the Love and the Need for Language in Our Lifes’. Our message for now is: do come to the festival and please feel welcome in Lân fan taal, the land of language!
In addition to the Lân fan taal programme, there are all sorts of fun sessions, interesting lectures, challenging labs and topical debates planned at the DRONGO language festival. For more information, visit their website.
