In Leeuwarden, the city dialect (Liwwadders) is spoken in addition to Frisian and many other languages. It is also the name of the floating pavilion in the canal at the edge of the Prinsentuin.
Poetry Circle is a national platform for writing performers and performing writers. Leeuwarden has had its own Circle since 2016, with pop podium Neushoorn as its base.
